Over that time, there has been a tremendous change in the way that consumers interact and communicate with companies. We’ve seen an evolution from the landline phone, to the internet, and most recently to mobile. Despite these staggering changes in communication, the company continues to evolve and serve its core markets of media, advertisers, advertising agencies, and brands.

Advanced Telecom Services (ATS) is a long-time provider of inbound and outbound Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services. IVR is what the company was built on and that building continues today. Bob Bentz

President

Bob helped establish our parent company, Advanced Telecom Services in 1989. He has since started many companies branching off ATS as technology has changed. Bob has seen the company transition from a landline phone company, to an internet company, and now to a mobile marketing agency. He started Advanced Federal when he heard President Obama say he would like to see every government department to have a mobile app. To share his expertise, Bob recently published his 354 page book, Relevance Raises Response: How to Engage and Acquire with Mobile Marketing, which is now available for purchase at RelevanceRaisesResponse.com, Amazon, and other fine online book retailers. He currently teaches a graduate level course in mobile marketing at the University of Denver.

Brad Bierman
Senior Account Executive

Brad Bierman has worked in sales and marketing at ATS Mobile in three different phases of the company’s transformation from interactive voice response services to a mobile marketing agency. Brad originally joined ATS in 1990 after serving as an Information Provider on the Syracuse University sports information 900 line, and more recently has several years experience working with ATS clients to initiate and evolve their mobile initiatives.

Before joining ATS, Brad was the sports director for eight years at WSYR Radio in Syracuse, handling various on-air duties of the state-wide Syracuse University football and basketball network. Brad also helped launch well-known sports websites Rivals.com and Scout.com. Brad is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Margie Varallo
Customer Service Manager

Margie joined the team in 2009 in the Finance department. She is currently the Client Services Manager where she oversees the billing and customer support departments. Prior to joining the ATS family, Margie worked for 14 years as the customer services manager at Varallo Reporting, Inc. – a court reporting company in Philadelphia and Media, PA. She graduated from Villanova with a BA in Finance. If Margie had to pick her favorite vacation spot it would be somewhere in the Caribbean.

Frank Butler
Senior Engineer

Frank Butler is Vice President of Engineering for ATS Mobile. Frank joined ATS in 1995 and oversees all technical activities in support of ATS automated telephony, web and mobile services.

Frank holds a Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Rutgers University. He is also an accomplished drummer and percussionist and often unwinds on the weekends playing gigs with several area bands.
